Elizabeth Manley was born in Winnipeg, Canada,
in 1938. Since early childhood, she has shown a
sensitivity which led to a deep love of music and art.
Here boundless energy and "joie de vivre" have
been channelled towards music and art. She has travelled,
painted, and studied extensively in Canada, Europe,
Mexico, and the U.S.A. She has taught at Doon, Godeerich,
Madoc, and the Romy Schneider School of Fine Arts in
Ottawa. Her collections include Ronald McDonald House in
Hamilton, the National Gallery Art Bank, the Bronfmans,
Zucker, Mandell, the National University of Mexico,
Whitney Museum in N.Y. City, Canada House and the
Commonwealth Institute in London, England and Jean
Ellenberger, the Architect for Geneva Airport,
